Snooker room renovations

Please note that the snooker room will be undergoing renovation work in the first few weeks of January. The work involves repainting all walls. New curtains and blinds will be installed.

It is necessary to close the snooker room during the daytime whilst the work takes place, however, to minimise disruption, it will be open each evening from 5pm. We do ask that all members bear in mind that the paint may still be wet and take care to avoid touching the walls and woodwork.

St James Small Hall Extension

St James Institute is proud to announce that the £34,000 Olympic legacy funding awarded by Sport England’s Inspired Facilities Fund has been used to extend the Small Hall to improve table tennis facilities, with the aim of encouraging local people of all ages to take up the sport.

Officially re-opened on 6th December 2013 by the Mayor and Mayoress of Bournemouth, we were also delighted to welcome MP for Bournemouth East Tobias Ellwood to the event, culminating in a tour of all of the Institute’s facilities and the opportunity for our VIP guests to meet representatives from many of the organisations that call the club home.
