The snooker club at St James Institute is one of the best in the area. A membership-only club, facilities include five full-size snooker tables, two of which are Riley match tables.
In addition to four teams across two divisions of the local, aptly named, Walter C. Clarke league, the club also holds regular competitions and cups, such as the league’s opening-night Six Reds competition and the annual St James Championships.
There is also a Games room, which has a newly re-clothed Pool table, dart board and lending library.
New membership applications for the snooker club are accepted on an annual basis and are due in September. For membership enquiries, please contact Malcolm Gray on 07772 269190.
League schedule and results
Please note that on Thursday nights from October through to May, the snooker tables are unavailable after 7pm due to league activity.
